Meet Dr. Anita M. Larrow
Dr. Anita M. Larrow received a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Bluffton University, Bluffton, Ohio. She then graduated with Honors from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Science (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona. Throughout her medical training at SCNM, Dr. Anita worked with MDs, DOs and NDs in Arizona, California and Ohio, thereby allowing her to understand the wide range of treatment options presented to patients. She challenged herself to appreciate the different medical structures, not judging one better than another but understanding each one's place in the treatment of patients. Dr. Anita believes that the purpose of being a doctor is to help the patient and that is the bottom line.
Dr. Larrow specializes in Women's Medicine and Pediatrics. She enjoys helping women transition gently through menopause, helping newly menstruating women to understand everything new about their body and all of the things that go with this delicate stage in their lives, and empowering women to have better knowledge of how their body works. Dr. Larrow is a self proclaimed big kid. Her passion for children comes from her upbringing as a child of two Montessori teachers and spending summers working in Montessori classrooms. Dr. Larrow sees the individual in each of her patients and derives her greatest fulfillment in showing them how small changes can have lasting effects on their health. Dr. Anita enjoys making house calls, as it allows her patients to relax at home after a treatment.
She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA) and the Novato Chamber of Commerce (NCOC). In her spare time Dr. Anita enjoys working outside with her plants, the dirtier she gets the happier she is! She is a vegetarian and enjoys spending time in the kitchen with her husband creating new recipes, which she shares with family and friends. Outside of medicine, one of Dr. Larrow's passions is traveling. She spent a semester in college circumnavigating the globe on Semester at Sea. Even today she enjoys traveling the world, meeting people and seeing firsthand how small and big and wonderful our world is.
