The Naturopathic medical curriculum includes science classes followed by Naturopathic modalities, and clinical training. After the first two years of medical school, the basic science board exam is taken covering anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and microbiology. Currently there are 7 accredited naturopathic schools across 8 campuses in North America including Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Larrow graduated from SCNM in 2007, with Honors.

After completing the last two years of classes, and clinical training, the clinical board exam is taken by the doctorate hopefuls. This exam is case-based, and focuses on homeopathy, botanical medicine, nutrition, clinical diagnosis, physical medicine, lab diagnosis, counseling, pharmacology, acupuncture, and minor surgery.

LicenSE

Once a Naturopathic medical student has passed both exams, he/she can be licensed as a Naturopathic Doctor in one of many U.S. states and territories.
